Elmrep and Gloucester Brewery Join Forces for the Brew and Bravery Firewalk!

Elmrep and Gloucester Brewery are thrilled to announce the Brew and Bravery Firewalk, an extraordinary event combining courage, community spirit, and charitable fundraising. Scheduled for the 26th of September 2024 at Warehouse 4 in Gloucester, this event aims to raise an impressive £15,000 for five local charities.

Firewalking, the practice of walking barefoot on hot embers, is a transformative experience that helps participants conquer their fears and realise their potential. It’s a testament to overcoming self-imposed limitations, showing that there is more to reality than one might think.

This collaborative effort by Elmrep and Gloucester Brewery is dedicated to supporting five incredible local charities: The Chamwell Centre, Hollie Gazzard Trust, GRASAC (Gloucestershire Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre), Goals Beyond Grass, and Linc. Our collective goal is to raise at least £15,000 to support the vital work these charities do in our community.

To participate, individuals need to secure their place by reserving a spot and nominating which charity they wish to support during their firewalk. Participants are encouraged to commit to raising a minimum of £150 for their chosen charity.

The evening will feature several highlights, including the exhilarating experience of walking across hot coals, providing a unique test of bravery. The event also offers ample opportunities for networking, allowing participants to connect with like-minded individuals and local supporters. Attendees can enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the evening and savour delicious brews and treats from local vendors.

Before the event, participants will receive comprehensive training from the expert team at Blaze to ensure they are fully prepared for the firewalk.

Lee Summers, Managing Director of Elmrep, emphasised the importance of community focus, stating, “As we celebrate our 40th year, we are more committed than ever to giving back to our local community. The Brew and Bravery Firewalk is a perfect opportunity to come together, support vital local charities, and demonstrate the strength and spirit of Gloucester.”

Geoff Smith, Managing Director of Gloucester Brewery, highlighted the brewery’s ongoing community engagement: “Gloucester Brewery has always been dedicated to supporting local initiatives, and this event is an extension of our ongoing efforts to give back to the community. We are proud to support these five remarkable charities and help them continue their essential work.”
